Claridge's August 2024

I had another successful training at Claridge’s on Thursday 15th of August, it was so lovely to meet one of the concierges at the door who made me so very welcome, following on to a lovely receptionist who remembered me, signed “How are you? And thank you.”.

I would like to say a big thank you to lovely Mr David Carroll for their kind hospitality during my stay at Claridge’s and had the most delicious meal ever which I had Spinach, Cheese with Pasta and the following morning, one of the waitresses came to greet us, as soon as she saw me, even she remembered what I would like for my breakfast before I asked for. I was delighted to be feeling at home with Claridge’s.

It was another successful training, please find the feedback and photographs of the session on the Testimonials and Gallery pages.

Claridge's August 2024

I am so excited to be back at Claridge’s on Thursday 15th August for another training.

It will be my second time stay at Claridge’s as I am intrigued whether I will be staying in the same beautiful room as last time.

Hope the staff are looking forward to attending the training.

Claridge's May 2024

Deaf Awareness and Basic Sign Language Training held at Claridge’s on Thursday 9th May 2024.

I wanted to say a massive thank you to David Carroll for his kind hospitality, I was delighted to find a few faces who remembered their signing from last time I taught them.

I was delighted when the staff asked if I could be happy to sit in the bar which was dark, I requested that I like to go this room which is brighter so then I can lip-read. They went to all the trouble to set a table for us to relax and discuss with my Interpreter. It was pleasure to find two of staff addressed me as “Ms Fletcher, anything I can do for you.”

When we did the lip-reading skills, normally, I do two rounds of lip-reading skills, then I was going to move on to the next stage, when one of the trainees put his hand up to ask if he can play these lip-reading skills. I was quite pleased that he asked to participate the lip-reading, I thought that was the first that we had three rounds instead of two. 😊

The training was successful, the team had a great time and learn lot from me. Please find the feedback and photos.

Very exciting news! My next session for Deaf Awareness and Basic Sign Language training is to be held at Claridge's Hotel London on Thursday 9th May.

It will be my first time to stay at Claridge's on Wednesday, although I have taught there once before. I shall be looking forward to my evening meal tomorrow night and have a chill.

I am ready to teach the next team on Thursday, look out for feedback and some photos from the session.

Another session at The Berkeley

I am pleased to say that we had another successful training at The Berkeley Hotel last Thursday. I would like to say a big thank you to Ioana Curcan for her kind hospitality.

Please see the Testimonials and Gallery pages for more of the day.

Back to The Berkeley!

I am looking forward to coming back to The Berkeley Hotel London again on 21st March to do another course.

First of all, I would like to say congratulations to Phillipa Murphy on her maternity leave on 2nd Mary as I will not be seeing her again before then as I will be back on the 9th May at Claridge's. I shall look forward to being introduced to and meeting her replacement, Elimer on Wednesday 20th March.

I am pleased to say that they had told their colleagues to take the course, they have been following me on LinkedIn and messaging me to say how much they enjoyed the course and look forward to seeing me around The Berkeley and Claridge's. I am pleased to hear that as last time I was at The Berkeley, Collins Room for my breakfast as I was delighted to see the Restaurant Manager and three of the staff recognised me, were pleased to see me again.

It will be exciting to see the Emory hotel opening soon.

Here are the staff practicing their sign language, sharing it with their colleagues.

The Berkeley Hotel

I am very excited to be staying at Maybourne Hotel Group, with Claridges, The Connaught, The Berkeley, and The Emory.

I will be staying at The Berkeley London for the night, and I am delighted to say that the lovely Philippa Murphy, Group Learning and Development Executive, has kindly offered to show me and my Interpreter around the hotel upon our arrival, before we go to our rooms.

I will be teaching Deaf Awareness and Basic Sign Language Training, around the corner at Knightsbridge on Wednesday 2nd August.

Look out for some photographs and feedback when I am back.

Please do not forget to contact me if you wish to book the course.

I would like to say a massive thank you to both Philippa Murphy and Gurjit Sandhu for their kind hospitality and for making me feel very welcome during my stay at the Berkeley. I also wish I had met their chef, who had made one of my favourite meals. I had the Spinach Gnocchi for the evening meal, and the Eggs Benedict with spinach for my breakfast. It was absolutely beautiful; with a perfect running yolk. Both meals were absolutely awesome. All the staff were very friendly and make us feel at home which was nice.

The training was successful, the team had a fun day with lot of laughter and enjoyed the course. I am pleased to say I receives lots of positive feedback from the team.
